Product Details
We believe that this is an extremely rare prototype of an effects processor that was never released. It was made in Italy and the startup screen says that it is a Viscount EFX-200M, but it clearly says that it is a Shure FX3 on the face plate. So this unit appears to be a higher end effects processor branded with Shure's name that never made it to market.
The FX3 has 128 presets with 4 banks, so up to 512 presets can be stored. It has all of the effects you would expect, as well as a sound analyzer and other higher end features.
Connections include stereo TRS inputs and outputs, AES/EBU input and output, S/PDIF input and output, and MIDI input and out/thru, as well as a multifunction pedal input.
This is the only one that we can see ever being on the market. There is a listing from awhile ago that we found, but we can tell that it's the same exact unit. So as far as we can tell, this is the only unit that exists out in the wild. Own a rare piece of history here. This is definitely a conversation piece for the studio!
