DBX 119 Compressor with 160 VCA's

This vintage DBX 119 Compressor (with 160 VCA's) has an attached Power Cable and comes with a stereo RCA Cable.

Condition

This unit is in good condition with normal cosmetic wear, has been fully tested, and works great. Please see pictures for details on item condition.

Product Details

The 119 has similar compression characteristic to the famous 160 VU, one of the all time great bass, vocal and drums compressors. Both units use the same canister style VCA's, same transformer, same capacitors etc. The 119 is great for bass, vocals, drums, synths, mix busses, master mixes, etc. For some reason, this design is just nice and warm and punchy and keeps wayward frequencies in check, which is all you need from a compressor really. The 119 is a very similar design of the 117, but the compression range has been extended and the capability of expanding or compressing above a pre-set threshold.
